Unforgettable charlotte with apples

When you want something homey, warm, and flavorful, charlotte is always a hit. This pie is familiar from childhood, and it takes a minimum of time to prepare. It's perfect for unexpected guests or a cozy tea party with the family.

Peel the apples and cut them into 4 cubes and 2 into slices.

Beat the yolks with 60 g of sugar, the whites with 100 g of sugar until stiff peaks form.

Add melted butter, vanilla sugar, and flour to the yolks, then carefully mix with the egg whites and apple cubes.

Pour into a mold, arrange the apple slices on top. Bake at 170°C for 50–60 minutes, cover with foil after 30 minutes.

Let the charlotte cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon.
